I know there are several postings/mailings about the slow program guide,

I have one that none of them solved. I have corrected all channel icons,

nvidia drivers, and VARIOUS other things, but it all boils down to </P>

able to watch live ATSC over the air HD content just fine, but as soon as </P>

bring up the program guide (with the video up in the corner), one of my CPU

pegs to 100%. I can overlay another window over it all (Like my htop

terminal window), and it drops back to normal. As soon as I show a </P>

portion of the EPG again, the CPU starts pegging and the EPG is </P>

to keypresses. (all while the video in the corner still runs </P>

as can be). I have tried all suggestions that I can find regarding
xorg.conf, like turning on UseEvents, etc. </P>

a similar problem for about a year. I changed my video deinterlacer and now
it's fine. Too bad the video is not as good as it was before. But my core2duo
can't handle the hd video with yadif 2x.</FONT></SPAN></P>
