how did you go about breaking it? i did notice when i tried to open up totem to play it manually it had to find a gstreamer plugin to play it. so what codecs does mythtv use to play its video files? what does mythtv use as its internal player? the whole codecs thing seems very complicated.<div>

<br></blockquote></div><br><div>Look into your audio setting (Setup/General). I was having similar issues so I disabled audio (broke it so no sound came out) till I got playback working. Now I'm tweaking audio to get it working. Audio seems to be my issue currently.</div>
