</div>On my system, MythArchive defaults to not transcode recordings *IF* they're<br>
already in a DVD-compatible format. It defaults to SP only if the recording<br>
isn't already DVD-compatible. You should check the MythArchive settings<br>
screens to be sure that the "always transcode" option (or similar phrasing; I<br>
haven't checked to be sure that's precisely what it's called) is not set. You<br>
should also verify that you're creating DVD-compatible recordings. There are<br>
a limited set of image sizes and other options that are permissible on DVDs,<br>
and if yours isn't one of them (for instance, if you record at 640x480),<br>
MythArchive will insist on transcoding.<br>
