<div dir="ltr">Are your cables OK? I've had broken SATA cables giving me weirdness before, I could see the drives but they came up with tons of read errors. Turned out to be an intermittant cable fault.<br><br><div class="gmail_quote">

ata3.00: status { DRDY }<br><br>These occur when I try to play or rip a DVD. I gather that it's some sort of SATA/PATA error and I've tried the following with no luck:<br><br>Unplugging USB devices<br>Setting noacpi and noirqdebug switches on boot<br>
Some other things that escape me<br><br>These things had no effect. I read something about switching SATA options to native in the BIOS but I don't see any such options in my BIOS.<br><br>All these items worked with a previous motherboard. I'm using an Abit A-N78HD now.<br>
