</div>This seems like the setup that I should be using. I went inti synaptic<br>
and searched for mythtv and mysql and removed all entries. Then I went<br>
to the Mythbuntu Desktop site ( <a href="http://www.mythbuntu.org/existing-ubuntu" target="_blank">http://www.mythbuntu.org/existing-ubuntu</a><br>
) and started the download and install.<br>

The process went on until the following was shown in terminal...<br>
