It's probably just a lack of CPU to decode the content and show the
guide. What does top say?
I think there is an option to pause while in the guide.

top shows me mythtv and mysql and only about 1.5. It's an AMD dual-core 2.6Ghz system.<BR>

Pausing would be great too but I haven't been able to find that option -- any direction would be appreciated.<BR>
