Hi,

I've installed Mythbuntu on a dedicated system and it's great. The XCFE UI is a nice low cpu graphical environment but the base install of mythbuntu is designed for mythbuntu to be a dedicated system (but its not much work for it to be a hybrid desktop/pvr setup...) I would recommend using using a distro which is dedicated as it is easier to install and use.... but with all myth systems it takes a while and a bit of tenacity to learn and understand linux.
