I have Time Warner cable so the basic 125 channels of cable would be on the coax. From what I understand you don't need the Time Warner box to get those, but you need it to get the HDTV and "On Demand" channels. The reason I don't want to get yet another cable box is becaue they charge around 10 bucks a month per box. feature, do the digital cards not need this?<br><br>For digital transmissions, you don't need to compress it.<br>It is sent and received already compressed.<br><br>A 3200 is considered borderline. I use a 3400 and it records,<br>commercial flags and plays over the air (antenna) stuff just fine.<br><br>All you need to do is pick up a digital tuner to give it a<br>try.
