I just moved to Mythbuntu from F8 and my backend constantly dies for<br>
no apparent reason. I've been trying to narrow it down to recording<br>
while watching TV, just recording highdef, but now it just dies<br>
randomly when the frontend is idle on the main menu. Anyone else with<br>
this problem? Here's my mysterious log.<br>

</blockquote></div><br><br>Yeah, tis a great mystery, up there with life on Europa, quantum wave function collapse, Bigfoot and other great mysteries of our time, hehe. Seriously though, I and others have had the same problem and just had a long thread about it where the best bet wound up being a script that checks if mythbackend is running and if not, restarts it. Can share mine if you'd like, just have to add it to the root crontab. Mine's been running for about a week now and my backend has been a rock.<br>
