<div>But I don't think that information is correct. I've read that mythbuntu messes with the version number reported with --version. I just checked out and rebuilt on 08/11/2008.</div>

<div>I have a Q6600 (with a Gefore 8800) and an AppleTV (wimpy box) frontend. Both play 720p content without a hitch. Per the wiki, I am keeping my source material set to 720p. Your machine should be the approx equivalent to my appletv box. Have you tried reducing resolution?</div>
