<div dir="ltr">I&#39;m trying to use a new storage group that is located on a separate
server from my mythtv backend, and I&#39;m having trouble.&nbsp; I&#39;m trying to
record the Olympics in a folder separate from my normal recordings,
because of the large files created.&nbsp; I created a storage group in a
folder that I believe is writable from by anyone, but any recordings
I&#39;ve set to record to this group fail to record.&nbsp; Myth says it recorded
the show, but when I try to watch it, it says the file cannot be
found.&nbsp; When i look in the folder where the files should be, there is
nothing there.&nbsp; I assume this has something to do with folder
permissions, or something like that, but I can&#39;t seem to find any
mention of it in the wiki.&nbsp; Any hints? <br><br>Is there any way to test if a storage group is active, and functioning; other than to see that a recording failed?&nbsp; If I VNC to my backend machine, I can copy a file from the desktop of that machine to the folder I want to use to store my recordings, so it seems that I can write to the folder.&nbsp; How else can I test to see that Myth can write to the folder?&nbsp; I&#39;ve granted read/write permissions to all users, and the mythtv user, so I&#39;m not sure what else I&#39;m missing.&nbsp; <br>
