<div dir="ltr">I use Nagios (<a href="http://www.nagios.org" target="_blank">http://www.nagios.org</a>) to monitor my MythTV server (uptime, disk space, temperature etc) and have just written a small Perl check plugin script to check the status of mythbackend itself. It makes sure that its running and checks the amount of guide data available and will generate alerts as necessary. <br>
