Does anyone make terabyte IDE drives?

I'm not sure, but they do make SATA to IDE adapters, so you can plug your SATA drive into your IDE cable. I went that route after I mistakenly ordered a SATA drive. I didn't have any free PCI slots, so a SATA card was out of the question. The adapter worked flawlessly for me for the past few years until I finally upgraded my motherboard.
