<p class=MsoNormal>Just installed MD5 and am tweaking a bunch of stuff. I
have a PVR250 and a PVR350 and am using tvout. Everything is looking good but I
have a ton of questions…<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal>1 – How does the last screen of Setup – TV Settings
– Playback (PVR-350 Hardware Decoder Settings) affect the new playback
profiles? I have the option checked to use the PVR-350 tv out. Do I
need to change the applicable profiles to use a decoder of “pvr-350
decoder” and make sure the video renderer and osd renderer is set to
ivtv? What if I don’t? it doesn’t seem to make much of
a difference.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal>2 – What is the minimum screen resolution MythTV
supports? I’m trying to get all the menus in the frontend visible
(not in the overscan area) and have the XDriver configured for 640x400 but a
lot of the bottom buttons on the config menus can’t be seen and the OSD
looks terrible.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal>3 – In this post: <span style='font-size:10.0pt;
font-family:"Verdana","sans-serif";color:black'><a
href="http://www.gossamer-threads.com/lists/ivtv/users/34529#34529"
target="_blank">http://www.gossamer-threads.com/lists/ivtv/users/34529#34529</a>
it mentions that mythtv uses the framebuffer not the XDriver for OSD. Is
this still the case?<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Verdana","sans-serif";
color:black'>4 – What is the future of the QT paint engine? Will
the OpenGL paint engine be the only thing that MythTV uses in the future?<o:p></o:p></span></p>
