When it tries to connect to the backend, it is literally just trying to connect<br>

I guess I understand the need to force a connection test, but it would be nice to be able to launch a terminal or _something_ that would allow me to troubleshoot the issue. It's extremely frustrating to not be able to do anything but go back or quit.<br>

If you don't trust ubiquity on this, try connecting on a command line using the<br>
mysql command line utility.</blockquote><div><br>Again, I was trapped in the installation UI and didn't see any obvious way to launch a command line. Plus it appears that the MySQL troubleshooting pages on the Wiki have changed and I couldn't find the command example to connect to the backend over MySQL.<br>

That option to pull information is only if you have used the 'live frontend'<br>
