<br></div>I fixed these by changing the hostname in capturecard to localhost.<br><br>Now, running, as root, a file *is* created on disk.<br>Next would be to reliably run the backend as user mythtv.</blockquote>

<div>Sounds like you're making progress. Mostly that would be making sure permissions are right on all the relevant dev entries and folders but then I think I run mine as root as it runs from an init script so YMMV</div>
