Why did you run mythtv-setup (intended for backends only) when<br>
installing a dedicated frontend? You should only need to run<br>
mythfrontend and correctly give the address of the master backend
and<br>
correct database details.<br><br>
You should not have mythbackend running on the frontend machine (I<br>
doubt you do though). Running mysqld on the FE is also likely to add<br>
to the confusion. Can your new frontend successfully connect
directly<br>
to the database?<br><br>
