As in most things, pilot error. Somehow I managed to add video4linux

packages to my MBE. video4linux and ivtv do not play nice and do their

dirt in a particularly insidious ways (very non-public) not showing up

obviously on any logs. I removed the video4linux packages and everything

came back. <br><br>
