Well I am not in the chicago area (i'm in milwaukee on time warner) but I do have a pvr-350 and a SA3250HD cable box. After struggling to get firewire to change the channels and or capture hd channels but still wanting to record channels that the pvr-350 can't tune I went the serial ir-blaster route to change the channels and am capturing the video with the s-video in on the pvr-350 card. rca (red and white) out of the cable box goes into the pvr-350 as well. Picture quality is fine. i also have a pvr-500 which just has the coax going into the tuner, so that allows me to record channels 3 thru 99 (or there abouts). with my pvr-350 box, I was able to get the remote that came with the pvr-350 to change stuff in mythtv. <br><br>Daniel </body>
