I see the 6200.c in a search, and can compile it, but as I have it
working now (firewire channel changes to the DCT6200 ), there must be an
existing binary already in place that is called to change channels on my
DCT-6200. Where and what would that be?
Anyone know.

Myth has the firewire code built into it as well. But if you're doing channel changing only (that is, you don't have it set up to get the video through the firewire), you'll need to use the external program (which you'll have to compile).
