If you catch the switch to the encrypted content, within the first second or two, it's generally possible to hit the chanup key again and get to another channel, but if you let it go longer than a second or two, it's going to hang until it drops back to the menu.

Trying out both Broadcast and P2P are explained well in the mythtv wiki page on Firewire,

http://www.mythtv.org/wiki/index.php/FireWire

Robert
When you hit that encrypted channel, are you able to change channel to
another one and have it working again?
When this happens to mine, it seems to lock things up. Meaning I cant
change to another channel, and a test-mpeg2 results in no data either.
That is why I was wondering if it was something firewire related.
I do have it set to broadcast and 400 for speed.

What does broadcast and P2P mean? I am not familiar with it.

Thanks!
