<br><br>Copyright-protected Blu-ray video discs can only output at 1080p using
an HDMI cable connected to a device that is compatible with the HDCP
standard.<br><br>This is part of the DRM on the Blu Ray spec. You can only view 100% quality with HDMI with HDCP locked around it.<br><br>This device is still great for 1080i and I will buy one if the quality is good.
