What's the source of the SD? I've got analog cable and it looks decent using my Mitsubishi (1080p, 65") internal scaler. Using the highest quality settings I can in Myth that my backend can handle (framegrabber on an underpowered backend), it looks really poor. I prefer to watch SD using the TVs tuner. (I'd even say that HD looks slightly better with the internal tuner too, but it isn't a DVR, so I don't sweat it too much!).
