Whether my tv should our shouldn't have a setting for this is irrelevant; it doesn't have any shape adjustment setting available. It seems my only choice for changing things are on the input side. Remember, this is a standard definition, 4:3, CRT TV I'm talking about. I would imagine most any modern HDTV would allow such adjustment (or should;) but mine does not. It's not too bad, I can certainly live with it. I don't notice the distortion in the image, it's the black triangle I can see along the top and right side that's my problem. So my original question was never answered, whether something like "tvoverscan" or whatever could be used to tweak the output of the TV-out on an nVidia graphics card to reshape/reorient the picture (like you can on a typical computer monitor). I seem to recall being able to do this through the nvidia driver on a windows machine, but I think that was my workstation (at work) that has a QuadroFX 3000 card. I tried doing something with nvidia-settings, but I didn't see anything. Any ideas?

Could something like this be used to correct "trapazoiding" on an s-video connected SDTV?

your TV should have some settings for that.

Mitchell
