My first email after 6 months of off and on trying so as I've learnt loads and got stuck on this one so I simply have to ask:

Combined front/back end Dell Optiplex GX270 with 1gb of memory. My Hauppauge win tv go model 607 (chips: cx23881-19)

I am currently getting 'p100 page not available' or nothing if i press t- then 888 which is teletext in uk analog.

At the moment I have tried it with mythdora but countless others e.g. Suse and knoppix. Also teletext programs and am getting some teletext output (same goes for Windows XP software that came with the Hauppauge card).

In mythtv, I am thinking maybe a budget card won't display teletext because i need a new hardware encoded card or a back-end server to take care of all the processing.

Any idvice appreciated e.g. buy another card ( I really want to buy a digital card (you can get them for my dish can you? as we're not digital terrestrial here for a long time)
but am trying to learn the hard way first)
