Unfortunately, I tried to do this quickly before I went to work this morning, and after the first try, it didn't work, but I had no time to figure it out. I was hoping that if someone looked at the how-to there would be some glaring error that I as an unexperienced apache user would fail to notice. Judging from the responses, my problem is probably some obscure line in some config file some place. Unfortunately again, I'll be leaving town for the weekend as soon as I get out of work, so I will have to take this up again on Monday. Thanks for the input.
