Thanks. Giving everyone (or just my mythtv user) execute permission
did the trick. I assumed only read permission was needed. Now on to
the next issues I am having.<br>

posting for a "no theme" issue.

Looks like it's a permissions problem. If you're running mythfrontend as
a not root user then it wont be able read any files in those theme
directories you have listed above. You need to add the 'x' bit so non
root users can see the files in those theme directories.
