<div><span><span>I recently bought a Technotrend Budget <span name="st">S</span>-1500 to get Freeview in the UK but I'm having difficulty setting it up. I'm guessing I have to set up the LNB in the DiSEqC settings (although I original thought that was only for multiple dishes?) but whatever I try I just get "Error parsing parameters" when I do a channel scan.
<br><br>I wondered if someone could share their settings for getting this to work since I've seen a few people mention getting Freeview (and Sky) this way using this card.</span></span></div></blockquote>

<div>Hi Oliver - I don't have my backend in front of me since I'm travelling, but I use Fedora + Myth + Sky. When you add the tuner - make sure you select DVB type, then you DO have to set up the LNB - if I remember correctly it's UNIVERSAL or EUROPEAN, or something like that.
</div>
<div> </div>
<div>When you tune - you have to give it the initial parameters to do a scan though. So if you want to tune to the BBC 1 - you need to add frequency, 10773000 (add 3 zeros to the number you look up in the links below to correct the units), H(orizontal) polarization, Symbol rate 22000 (or 22000000), NID 5/6
</div>
<div> </div>
<div>You can get this information from <a href="http://en.kingofsat.net/pack-skydigital.php" target="_blank" onclick="return top.js.OpenExtLink(window,event,this)">http://en.kingofsat.net/pack-skydigital.php</a> or <a href="http://www.lyngsat.com/europe.html" target="_blank" onclick="return top.js.OpenExtLink(window,event,this)">

</a></div>
<div> </div>
<div>You do it for each transponder (which typically has 5 or 6 channels in it, depending on the bitrate used), there is a setting to ignore radio stations and one to ignore encypted stations. If you are using a CAM with a sky card - uncheck 'ignore encrypted stations'
</div><br>Please let us know if that does the trick.</div><span class="sg">
