I just bought a Optoma HD80 1080p projector. Right now i am using component out on my nvidia card. <br><br>I am curious if going to DVI/HDMI will give me better picture quality. Anyone know?<br><br>Also, which will be easier to configure/setup. Basically will xorg configure a hdmi display device and configure it as a regular computer monitor or will i need modelines/tv out settings? I assume DVI would just click and be working. Right?
<br><br>Also for future growth with HD-DVD/Blue-Ray players can i use a HDMI->DVI adapter (and get full res)? I dont want to have to buy 2 cables. <br><br><br>I know that the signaling with HDMI and DVI is the same I am just worried about the setup signaling with HD-DVD/BD and Nvidia DVI cards.
