Finally figured this out. Running on Gentoo and I had X windows compiled with the wrong options.<br>

Everything is super fast now and I'm turning on all the bling like previews and whatnot again.<br>

Checked the program guide and it's pretty fast so I'm not sure if it is the icon thing.<br>Since cpu is at 99% while browsing recorded shows and 0% when flying through the other menu's I'm not sure what it is. Does myth use opengl for everything but the recorded shows?
