After checking the channels and prices I ordered Directv with 2 receivers. I was thinking I would get a PVR-500 - but when I went looking at them it only has 1 tv input on the card the other input is the fm reciever. How does that work?
<br>Or do I need to get 1 pvr-150's or 250's to make this setup work?<br><br><br>

I use a PVR-150 with 1 receiver and a serial cable to control the channel changing. I had to buy a special adapter to make it connect to the DirecTV box, because my box has a serial port that looks more like a RJ-45 jack. I got my adapter from an old Replay TV that I used to own, but I know you can buy them on the internet somewhere.
<br><br>Unless you are dead set on using the FM tuner with your DirecTV, I would go down to the PVR 150 or 250 model. The 250 is identical to the 500 for TV recording, it is only lacking the FM tuner option.<br><br>If you want to record from both receivers, I'm pretty sure you will need 2 TV Cards (1 per receiver).
