What is it that happens when you get that error? How far through
mythtv-setup do you get? does it segfault? etc etc ....
If you are getting into mythtv-setup, have you checked for the
existence of a writable directory for DVD rips?

Well - Now you're saying something... <br>
Don't know if this had something to do with it - But installed
everything from the packages - and afterwards put the different things
into the different boot initscript - rebooted - and the n tryed to run
mythtv-setup along that way - Buty if mtd is not suposed to run at that
time - well I guess that could be a problem.<br>
THe Directory for recording is there and is fully writeable - Noirmally
you'll set that up under generel in mythtv-setup but if the table that
mythTV normally stores that info in - not exist --- you'll get an
error - that's my guess - haven't experience this problem before! <br>

I discovered by trying to add the different TV-cards - hauppauge
pvr-500 - but each time I trying to add a new card - it'll run through
- but does NOT have the tables in the DB for writing/storing that info
- sp afterwards there's no tv cards even though I just added once.<br>

Well I haven't run mythfrontend yet - Caurse I would like to get the
other stuff up and running before setting anything else - these errors
comes when running mythtv-setup. That's whats freaks me out - I cannot
get the permission to add the info info some tables that does not exist
in my DB ! <br>
