<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>Hello everyone,</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>After much tinkering with Ubuntu and regular Fedora
6 + MythTV... I decided to settle with mythdora.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2><STRONG>My system specs are as
follows:</STRONG></FONT></DIV>
<DIV><STRONG><FONT face=Arial size=2></FONT></STRONG> </DIV>
<ADDRESS><FONT face=Arial size=2>AMD64 3000+ (around 2.0GHz)</FONT></ADDRESS>
<ADDRESS><FONT face=Arial size=2>1GB DDR</FONT></ADDRESS>
<ADDRESS><FONT face=Arial size=2>300GB SATA (drive containing recordings
and whatnot)</FONT></ADDRESS>
<ADDRESS><FONT face=Arial size=2>120GB IDE (drive for / and most system
files)</FONT></ADDRESS>
<ADDRESS><FONT face=Arial size=2>pcHDTV 5500 HDTV PCI Tuner
card</FONT></ADDRESS>
<ADDRESS><FONT face=Arial size=2>nVidia 7600 AGP w/ HDTV support (whatever that
means...)</FONT></ADDRESS>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>So here is the problem: Once I tune to a channel,
and there are fast scenes of frames with a lot of data to be changed, I get
major visual lag on the TV, and eventually the system freezes due to it somehow
filling up all it's disk space... (which doesn't make sense to me, it should
have plenty)</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>Is the CPU too weak for HD content or do I
have something setup incorrectly? It seems that I have something funny with the
disk space as well...</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>Some other issues that I am
having:</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>1. Sound doesn't work in MythTV (whereas it works
outside of MythTV). I can't seem to configure it to the built in soundcard.
Where is this setup?</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>2. Screen resolution on a 52" HDTV DLP... What is
the correct resolution for running in 1080i/1080p? If I am using a DVI->HDMI
cable, should the computer detect the TV's settings in most cases?</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>Thanks greatly,</FONT></DIV>
