I used a vanilla install of mythtv with myth-plugins and mythtv-themes. I then ran system updates. At this point I'd already recorded several gigs worth of data so i didn't want to wipe. I'm not sure if the updates broke anything because I hadn't tried burning at absolute "vanilla" status.
