For an SD card, this is definitely the best way to start. I got the OEM version and use a Gyration wireless keyboard/mouse combo to do control. The 150 is easy to set up and works well. If you are cramped for space in your case, the 500 has two tuners in the same space. In general I think that the HDHomeRun is the future (it's what I am planning to move to) for HD because it is computer independent.
