I don't know about yours but my Sony 60" XBR from last year will not use the whole screen if I use the pc input connection. It is what Sony calls a feature so you can get the entire image on a normal resolution with out any overscan. On mine I just used the DVI connection or you can try on of the other connections, the rest will take up the whole screen.
