Hi,<br>I'm setting up a MythTV box for my father. He finally came around after him and my mom were recording on VHS and it was just a pain. So his TV only has HDMI inputs, he bout a Nvidia 7300 with HDMI out. The motherboard has SPDIF out and the Nvidia card has a place for Sound in. However, i can't get sound through the HDMI. At least i don't hear anything when i play a recording. I have a MSI 945GM3 motherboard (

If so how do i go about doing this for all audio? (at this time he does not have like surround sound or any other way to get audio in) and i don't know if his TV thinks the HDMI cable has audio, because when we connect the line out to AV 1 Audio in on the TV, which the manual says to use if it's a DVI to HDMI cable with audio separate, again no sound. If i plug in computer speakers to the line out we do get sound, so i know the sound is working, i just need to know how to get sound to the HDMI cable (all sound analog mostly since that's all he gets right now over cable anyways). Using a pvr-500.
