He has a <span style="font-weight: bold;">EX </span>15000G or an <span style="font-weight: bold;">ES</span> 15000G? From looking at the boards, I wouldn't go near the ES series because I too have heard that the Openchrome chipset is internally broken; you'd be better served by the SP 13000 instead and it's cheaper. The EX is (possibly) a different story.
