<div>It sounds like it is just overscanning the HDMI input, which is standard for TVs. This would not be good if you were trying to use it as a PC monitor because you would lose usable space. However, for TV this should be fine since overscan is "standard" even though the amount varies.

<div>Since this is really a dedicated mythbox and I am watching TV only, the overscan should not be any more than I would get connecting a cable box to it and I can live with that.</div>
