savings time, *if* you are using the grabber for tvguide.org.au</font>

<br><font size=2 face="sans-serif">First, go to your /home/mythtv/.mythtv
directory and make a backup of your tvguide.org.au.xmltv file</font>
<br><font size=2 face="sans-serif">cp tvguide.org.au.xmltv tvguide.org.au.xmltv_2006dec08
</font>
<br><font size=2 face="sans-serif">(you will need it, because fiddling
with the channels resets the config file to default settings... sometimes).
</font>

<br><font size=2 face="sans-serif">As root (sudo -sh) stop mythbackend
from running, on ubuntu this is</font>
<br><font size=2 face="sans-serif">/etc/init.d/mythtv-backend stop</font>
<br>
<br><font size=2 face="sans-serif">Run mythtv-setup, go to General- then
to Global Backend Setup, where you should see "Time offset for XMLTV
listings", which I previously had set to +0800 (Perth non-daylight
savings timezone). Change this to +0900</font>
<br>
<br><font size=2 face="sans-serif">In your tvguide.org.au.xmltv file, check
that your ABC2 timezone setting is -0200. The other channeltz settings
should be +0000, or should not be there (one per channel line).

<br><font size=2 face="sans-serif">Restart the mythtv backend</font>
<br><font size=2 face="sans-serif">/etc/init.d/mythtv-backend start</font>

<br><font size=2 face="sans-serif">As mythtv user, run</font>
<br><font size=2 face="sans-serif">mythfilldatabase --graboptions "-v
-v -v"</font>
<br>
<br><font size=2 face="sans-serif">There, you are done! When the
timezone changes back you'll have to do it again to change mythtv back
to +0800 and your grabber setup for ABC2 to -0300. There may be a
better way to do it.... but this works OK</font>
