As the original poster I just want to jump in and say that I'm having trouble with OTA, not QAM (just so there is no confusion). The channels I am tuning are definitely not encrypted since, as I mentioned in the original post, I can get them with VLC just fine.

I get that behaviour when I try and tune encrypted channels. Out of the<br>500 or so 'channels' it found during the channel scan, only about 10%<br>were ones that I could tune. It took a LONG time to pare that list down....
