Hello ladies & gents,

I've been lurking for a few days and I've found the list has been very helpful. I'm glad to be here. :)

My question is: What would cause MythTV (KnoppMyth to be exact) to record *everything* that I watch on live TV even if I don't schedule it to record?
This smacks of user error but I can't see what I'm doing wrong. I mean, I'll watch a bit of the news, flip to another channel for another program, and then
shut it off. I look at my manage recordings menu a couple of days later and it not only recorded the moments I viewed each channel but also recorded
the programming the following days at the exact same time of day and length. I'm perplexed because it'll record the programs I scheduled to be recorded just fine.
At this rate, I have to empty my hard drives every 3 days.

I'm using one of those newer PVR-500 with the dreaded Samsung tuners though I think that blaming the card may be a dead end.
I'm also running it on a gaming rig I built a while ago (AMD64 X2, nForce chipset mobo, & a nvidia 6800). I'm also using the
newer Myth .20 at the moment because I upgraded from Myth .19 thinking that the problem with within the older version and my newer hardware.
Everything seems to work just fine on both versions with the glaring exception of the issue I've outlined above.
Since it occurs in both versions I suspect that this is user error, Hardware configuration issues, or.....Database issues? I dunno.
I'm a newb when it comes to Linux. I know enough to get by but I'm quite robotic (step by step instructions) when it comes to troubleshooting this OS.
My brain is kinda overwhelmed with possible sources of problems so any help you guys can throw my way would be greatly appreciated.

-Lionel
