I believe all you have to do is edit /etc/init.d/mythtv-backend and change to USER=(**someuser**) to USER=root. That has worked for me. Try that and let us know.<br><br>Also what is this about using mythtv as your only user causing problems or something...? Thats what i have&nbsp; always done for both my backendend and frontend. But maybe because i use a root account instead of the sudo sillyness. It makes it different.
