I did indeed compile using the osx-packager script (nice piece of work
by the way). The frontend package is created complete and
ready-to-go. No such luck with the backend. And, I'm not Mac savvy
enough to put all the correct pieces in the correct places to emulate a
Linux install (which is what I gather you need to do).<br>

<pre wrap="">I have tried to do just this with a HDHomeRun and an Intel iMac. I got
everything compiled from SVN (0.20-fixes) using the contrib script. The
frontend works fine. All the backend executable parts are there, but I
could never get anyone to help out with where to put everything and
such. So, no backend for me. However, I do believe there are others
out there running a full back+front under OSX. But no one has taken the
time to write down the procedure and share.

Did you try the osx-packager script? I believe it should be able to
build and package up the backend. I didn't get it to work myself, but
I only had limited access to the Mac and don't know enough to about
Mac's to fix even the smallest problem. Anyway if the osx-packager
script doesn't work for you, you can probably get help from Nigel
with getting the script to work for you...
The HDHomeRun card should work on the Mac, but AFAIK no one has
tried it. I can probably help you with that portion if you get
to the point of having the Mac backend running.
