as you are trying a channel change or trying to record. you may find
messages that are helpful in solving the problem- I had a similar problem
and found it this way... it was a kernel parameter setting to use more
than 512MB of memory (if you put in 1GB by default you get less memory
usable than when you had 512MB, at leasty on my Ubuntu Breezy kernel).</font>
