<FONT FACE="Verdana, Helvetica, Arial"><SPAN STYLE='font-size:12.0px'>I just installed a new DVD reader/writer in my MythTV system and upgraded to version .20. The version upgrade was relatively painless. I had only one issue that was easily solved. <BR>
<BR>
When I try to play a DVD in the system the DVD spins up and then (depending on which DVD I use) either quits the frontend completely, or just drops back to the MythDVD menu. <BR>
<BR>
I can get “SOME” dvd’s to play using mplayer (I haven’t tried xine yet) but not with the internal player. <BR>
<BR>
I’m also getting the following the /var/log/messages file whenever a disc is in the drive:<BR>

It just so happens that hdc is loading as the new DVD drive. <BR>
<BR>
I can’t seem to find anything else meaningful in the logs – but I can watch them more closely next time I try a DVD. <BR>
