history from my old Mythconverge DB (from version .19.1). The HDD on my old
machine survived (haven't tested yet to be sure), so I can pull the DB files
from my dead machine onto my new machine. But I'm not sure exactly how to do
this. Also, since version .20 just came out, I want to make sure I avoid
overwriting my .19.1 version of the DB. </font></div>

the Hard disk into another PC then use a live CD disto, such as knoppix
or ubuntu to boot the machine, make a couple of directorys, i.e mkdir

once mounted you should then be able to copy the /var/lib/mysql directory to /myth/backup</blockquote><div><br>rebuild the hardware. Reinstall your OS, and mythtv, then with the backend stopped and mysql stopped copy the datafiles back, and you should then be in business.
