Do you have an extra sound card you could swap in and see if it's the card? <br><br>I bought a new board about a month ago that had an on-board sound card. It was very wierd because whenever I would play any sort of sound, it would buzz/hum/whine. Disabled the onboard card and popped a spare card in, same problem.
<br><br>For me, it turned out to be a bad something or other on the motherboard. For you, at least it could narrow it down. And maybe, I don't know, but maybe, you could try to build the frontend with analog audio support? Just something to check out.
