<p><font size=2 face="sans-serif">Check your system messages using dmesg,
you may find a looping automount process. &nbsp;Turn automount/autorun
off in the Dapper control panels, reboot, and try again if that is the
case.</font>

I'm sure I've documented this in the mythtv wiki or at mythtvtalk.</font>
