Ok, from going through my entire backend log file, I think I've narrowed down where the problem is.

When a recording starts, here's what I see:

2006-09-22 23:29:31.229 TVRec(4): Changing from None to RecordingOnly
2006-09-22 23:29:31.249 TVRec(4): HW Tuner: 4->4
2006-09-22 23:29:31.424 Started recording: Bleach: channel 1020 on cardid 4, sourceid 1
2006-09-22 23:29:37.286 MPEGRec(/dev/video1) Error: select timeout - ivtv driver has stopped responding
2006-09-22 23:29:43.083 MPEGRec(/dev/video1) Error: select timeout - ivtv driver has stopped responding

The select timeout errors continue for the duration of the time the show is scheduled to record. I have 2 capture cards, and receive this error regardless of which card is being used to record.

Please note that the ivtv drivers work just fine outside of mythtv, and I'm able to capture video with no problems. I only receive this error when Mythtv is calling IVTV, so from that I'm assuming its a Mythtv & IVTV problem.

As for version numbers, I'm running Mythtv 0.20-138 and IVTV 1:0.7.0-117, both from the ATRPMS repository. Fedora Core 5, 2.6.17-1.2187 kernel.

Anyone have any idea what's wrong here? I'm at my wit's end with this, and even googling for the error messages returns a single post on the IVTV forums that really doesn't help.
